Terms of Use
By using Brocco, you agree to these terms. Please read them.
1. What Brocco is
Brocco is a food journal app: it estimates meal calories from photos, calculates daily targets, suggests recipes and turns habits into a game with Brocco the mascot. The app is provided by Onofrei Alexandru ([email protected]).
2. Not medical advice
Estimates (calories, portions, health scores) are approximate and can be wrong. Brocco does not replace a doctor or a dietitian.
If you have a medical condition or an eating disorder, are pregnant or follow a medical diet, ask a professional. For allergens, always check the label: do not rely on the app alone.
3. Your account
- You are at least 16, or you have the consent of a parent or guardian.
- Your account details are accurate and you keep your password to yourself.
- You can delete your account at any time in Profile › Delete account.
4. Brocco Plus
- Brocco Plus is a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription, paid through your Apple account. The price is the one shown in the app before you buy.
- Payment is charged when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your Apple account is charged for renewal within the last 24 hours of the period.
- You can manage and cancel it in Settings › your name › Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
- If you have a free trial, any unused part of it is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- “Unlimited” means fair use: up to 20 AI scans a day, to protect the service from abuse.
- We may change the benefits or the price. We will tell you in advance, and a new price applies only from your next renewal, following Apple’s rules.
5. Coins, chests and in-game items
Coins, chests, outfits and other in-game items have no monetary value and cannot be sold, traded or exchanged for money. We may adjust the game (rewards, odds, coin prices). Items are lost when you delete your account.
6. What you may not do
- Use Brocco for unlawful purposes.
- Bypass the app’s limits, payments or security, or automate access to it.
- Copy, modify or resell the app or its content.
- Submit unlawful or offensive content.
7. Your content
What you add to your journal remains yours. You allow us to process it only as needed for the app to work, for example to analyze a photo. The details are in the Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual property
The app, the Brocco character, the artwork and the animations belong to us and are protected by law.
9. Availability and liability
We provide the app as is. There may be interruptions or bugs, which we try to fix quickly. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. You can stop at any time by deleting your account. Your subscription is cancelled separately, in your Apple account.
11. Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app and has no obligation to maintain or support it. Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/) also applies. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by Romanian law. Disputes are settled by the competent courts in Romania. As a consumer, you may also contact the Romanian consumer protection authority (anpc.ro) or the one in your country.
13. Changes
If we change these terms, we update the date above and let you know in the app about important changes. By continuing to use Brocco, you accept the new terms.
